How do we design an exhibit to discuss the complexities of humanitarian aid in India?
Overview
Set in 2035, 'HUM 2035' tells the story of a fictional humanitarian aid network HUM. What happens when Goa faces a weather disaster that damages their centralized and automated water supply? How do the citizens and local humanitarian aid workers organise and use acenstral and frugal knowledge to find solutions? The story is told through Virtual Reality, physical objects, Illustrations, text and diagrams. HUM2035 was a traveling exhibit commissioned by the Barbican. It was first shown at the Barbican Life Rewired Hub, in London and then at MSF Scientific Days Asia 2019 in Delhi. in 2022 it was a part of the Connected Life conference at Oxford University.
